THE STORY:
Nick and Hawley. What can I say. A wonderful couple and a wonderful reception. I worked with Mr. Allen back in the day at good ‘ol Skip’s Music so it was good to catch up during our consultations and Hawley was an absolute joy to work with. He and Hawley are the perfect match for each other. A sentiment that was echoed during the toasts at the reception and from all of their friends and family throughout the entire event. The reception was held at the SAR Ballroom here in Sacramento and was the perfect venue to hold all of their guests comfortably. Which in our estimates was well over 200. Adorned with subtle lighting, the venue was the perfect stage to host this most joyous of occasions. And talk about a dancing crowd…their guests filled the dance floor from the first song right up until the Newlyweds made their departure. Big kudos to Nick and Hawley for picking some great party music. Kisty and I had an absolute blast and these two newlyweds are in for a wonderful life together. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs Allen!

THE STORY:
Erika & Brian are such a sweet couple. We had a wonderful time helping them make their ceremony and reception unforgettable events. Set at the beautiful Vizcaya in Sacramento, our newlyweds held both their ceremony and reception there. An intimate gathering of friends and family proved to be just right as the evening progressed and they danced the night away. “Big 80’s rock fans” was how Erika described her and Brian’s musical taste. We partied to ACDC, Bon Jovi, and Bruce Springsteen (just to name a few) all night long. Erika, as so many brides are doing now, utilized her money saving skills by having friends and family provide some of her services like the photography and officiating of the ceremony. My favorite part had to be the special dedication of the first “party dance” song for Erika and Brian’s sons Jacob and Christopher to the song: “I like to Move It!” from the Madagascar animated movie. It got everyone onto the dance floor with big smiles on their faces. Job well done Erika and Brian! This was such a wonderful time for all in attendance including us!

THE STORY : These two were high school sweethearts and share a beautiful baby girl together. Kendall and Rodney were a lot of fun to work with and their reception was wild and crazy. Held at the Capital Plaza Ballroom, Rodney and Kendall’s friends and family poured in to wish them a happy life together and to celebrate the nuptials by dancing the night away. Rodney even pulled out some old b-boy moves from back in the day to impress his new bride. We had a great time as usual, working with the staff at the Ballroom. They are always so nice and willing to help. It makes for a good day and great event.

THE STORY: Paul and Jenny were such a wonderful couple to work with. Their day was full of friends and family having a wonderful time! With an elegant setting at the exclusive private Club in downtown Sacramento, the stage was set for a high class, high energy reception. These newlyweds had an awesome play list. They requested music from just about every genre and had some real family favorites that were sung as loud as they could be by their close friends and family. Jenny was a stunning bride and her new husband was looking very dapper. Our couple danced to nearly every song and by the end of the night everyone had journeyed to the dance floor more than a few times. The high point of the dancing was when the dance floor filled to capacity for “Shout” followed by “American Pie” where it seemed even the elder relatives knew the words and sang along. Much thanks to Paul and Jenny for throwing a great reception. We had a great time!

THE STORY : After our first consultation with Jenifer and Mike we knew this was going to be a very unique and wonderful event. These two, like all of our couples, are so very much in love with each other and in love with the commitment of sharing the rest of their lives together! Jen and Mike chose the Wilson Vineyards to host their day and they also did a wonderful job of choosing a “dream team” of vendors to make their special day a memorable one. We so much enjoyed working with the vendors that included catering by All Seasons All Reasons, photography by the outstanding Carmen Salazar, and the elegant harpist Pamela Pamperin. Mike and Jen were so gracious throughout the planning process and the day of, it made working with and for them a breeze. They had some great music selections with an Italian flair that lended to the atmosphere of the day. What a fun couple and what a fantastic wedding and reception!

THE STORY : What a happy couple! Lance and Shirley were an absolute joy to work with. Shirley was quite possibly one of the most organized brides we have ever worked with. Right down to the very specifics of the day, Shirley was on top of it and Lance was right there to back her up. What a team! Talk about a storybook setting. Shirley and Lance chose The Spinnaker in Sausalito to have both the ceremony and reception. If you have never been there, it sits right on the bay overlooking a beautiful vista. It just happened to be “Fleet Week” too so the bay was full of boats and yachts full of people who as they passed during the ceremony were raising glasses and applauding the festivities. Quite a spectacle! They had such a wonderful group of friends and family that danced to Shirley and Lances perfect music selections. The Spinnaker staff was great to work with, especially the event coordinator Julie Bartone. She made things very easy for us that entire day. Shirley and Lance planned a wonderful day that was a prelude to what will surely be a wonderful life together. Cheers to the Newlyweds!

THE STORY : Delwin & Cristilla are such a sweet couple. They chose a beautiful location at the Morgan Creek Country Club that was perfect to comfortably accommodate their guest list of 150 plus! They had a beautiful ceremony in the courtyard right outside the reception hall that was accented with a wonderful 3 piece orchestral band. Delwin and Cristilla had a wonderful ceremony and a fun reception with the elders leading off dancing to some ethnic oriental and contemporary music. These two will share a life of love as apparent by Delwin catering to his bride through out the day. Just the way it should be. We had a lot of fun with them and their families.

THE STORY: What a beautiful setting! These Newlyweds chose an exquisite location with the Coloma Country Inn. It was perfect for the classic style ceremony and reception. Definitely for smaller gatherings but oh so elegant. That was the theme for the day. The bride, Tiffany wanted a classic 40’s feel to the day. Everything from the music selections, to the decorations lent to creating this feel. Even the photographer had the bride and groom in shots and poses that would reflect that era. The Story: Kelli and Frank are definitely made for each other. These Newlyweds are an absolute blast to be around and there reception reflected that. Held outdoors at a private residence that was absolutely beautiful, it accommodated all of Kelli and Franks friends and family wonderfully. The vendors were great to work with including one of our favorites, Lisa Hegdahl with TLC Weddings. Everyone had a great time dancing the night away to some great music requests from the Bride & Groom and didn’t stop until late that evening. What a fun reception!
